Long way, but I hear you on the M62 closure nightmares...

I should hopefully be around

Over the top on the M65 for you?

We should do Mordor once it has dried out and the motorway is open, and Delph too.

I’m in. Might even shove my new bottom bracket in at the weekend.

I’ve got a MNPR virgin joining us, and I’ve just realised that he’ll be bolstering our scouse contingent. They’ll be outnumbering us soon ....

I might be on a hat-trick, provided the lovely Mrs B gets away from work a bit lively because it's a fair old hike for me.

Rik m65 or m6 are both good options....

Depending on weather I have some options....

We have Healy Nab or some more adventurous stuff.....

Mrs Daz is in Spain so not me. I know bank holidays are unpopular but anyone interested in a daytime special over this way on Bank Holiday Monday?

I may well be daz. I've a weekend of diy this weekend and kids parties (snakes, spiders and reptiles in the house!) next weekend so I'm hoping I'll have earned a few hours out...

Yep, up for a ride on BH Monday (depending on obtaining permission from the relevant authorities, naturally), good idea.

Can't do Brinscall on account of it's half way to the flipping Lake District for me, even if the M60 isn't broken...

It's not that far....

Got some interesting ideas...

It is that far. Allow me to illustrate:

I'm sure it's going to be an ace ride, and I'd love to explore out there some time, but it's a bit of a stretch for me for a couple of hours on a Monday night, that's all... 🙂

Have fun!

Who's playing out then? Looks like a nice night for it. Well..... not raining and the temperature above freezing

Got a couple of MNPR virgins with us tonight. Looking forward to getting out 🙂

Not me sadly. I enjoyed the last ride over that way too (years ago!) but my lad has a thing on at cubs tonight which I should have been going to had I not had to take the day off work because I seem to have norovirus or something. It's not pleasant.

Can I come and play on your Saddleworth rides?I'm in Holmfirth/Yorkshire so let me know if I need to complete any Advanced Passenger Information or other security directives for coming over therr (looks like Mintimperial may know the process).

Hi Scuttler. You’re very welcome. Rules are turn up with a mtb, lights and a helmet, oh and  money for a beer.

Mike.

The good news is that I can move my head again. The bad news is that I've just got back from A&E after my daughter ran into a tree at school, so I'm not out.

Have fun and see you in a couple of weeks.

I am now in Manchester and I have a (non e)mtb here, although won't be joining you tonight. Which leads me to my question of what sort of pace are these rides?

Note: When Dunc is leading a ride, NEVER turn up on a hardtail! Talk about taking a knife to a gunfight!

Where are you Chvck?

We could hold a Take The New Guy Out, Kill Him And Steal His Stuff Edition in your honour. Somewhere off the beaten track with sandy soil condition should do it.

I'm in Prestwich. I might need to spend a little bit more time finding out what my legs are actually capable of first (I lose most of the strength, not in the normal way, when they get tired so I get slooow). That sort of pace and distance sounds achievable though

Prestwich is the unofficial nerve centre - aka the Church inn 🙂

I know we talk as much rubbish as any other set of mountain bikers but the one important maxim is that no-one gets left behind
