I'd love too, so I will!
The weather is looking good for Monday, apart from at Torridon.

I'd love too.

But I'm going to see Dunc, and raise him on the smugness front, because I'll be riding here...

I would but I'll be on my way back from Scotland.

The weather is looking good for Monday, apart from at Torridon.

[img] [/img]

And it's barely rained up there for a couple of weeks now by the look of it. Might have to rearrange this weekend's plans a bit to get some extra riding in...

Ed - I'll ring you in a bit re. bikes. If I can get the front tyre on the single speeder inflated at work tomorrow, you can borrow one.

I can bring a spare wheel if required - best say if its not QR as I will need to switch out adapters

Post up here tonight as [probably] no internet tomorrow

Best say what size disc - actually best say its 180 mm as all my front wheels are 180 mm

Going up the valley to Leverhulme park on the little lever side of the valley then back down on the farnworth/Kearsley
Side and back to the pub.

I'm going to get to the pub at 7ish and have a mess in the woods if any body fancies tagging along.

Thanks Junkyard, bit he can't come for reasons other than broken bike now, so not to worry.

See you later all.

Hora, Herbie, Bregante and indeed myself on the same ride...?

Still cant see it!

Anyway a word to the wise. Its a hot one today so skimpy tops are a must. I have a sneaking suspicion that the banks of the Croal and Irwell may induce a real midge fest this evening...

Good ride that - Thanks Gaz I really enjoyed it.

My legs and arms are throbbing though with nettle stings and blackberry bush scratches!

I'm Hora and so is my wife.

[img] [/img]

My ride clocked in at 46km. That is unheard of for MNPR (for me). Daz has still got an hour to go.

It was still warm too. Why the hell do people go to the trouble of picking up their dogs mess only to tie it to a tree?

Cheers Gaz, Good ride that. Another piece in the jigsaw of how to link up all the rides into one as I don't know those trails much.

Thanks for the guiding, was a lovely ride. My legs are humming from stinging nettles, but it's oddly satisfying...

And re: Dogpoogate, it did helpfully draw your attention to an eye-gouging wire fence tear. Swings and roundabout and all that.
