Not sure that image applies to Marple. The gene pool in Marple has long been gentrified by the chattering classes of Manchester.

Anyway, I'm definitely in. Haven't ridden round that way in ages.

As I'm in Preston on Monday, thats a bit of a schlep. Which isn't a problem in itself, but it does also invoke my pathological hatred of Stockport generally, and the A6 specifically. Will probably head out local instead

I'll try and be there, which will make it TWO WEEKS ON THE BOUNCE! but we have a large outage on at work which may make it a late finish.

I too fear a large outage. Hence the cork.

In other news. There is another 6:00am road ride on Saturday if anyone fancies it.

Thought it was a typo, so I ignored it.

Are you bringing Julian, or is it his netball night?

It's netball night 🙁

I should be back in time to see you for a pint though 🙂

In "local" news the corner of doom is dead. Some bugger added it as a strava segment, it got trashed, it's now been freshly rebuilt with steps

According to that link the works will be complete by September 2017. Our works in the central reserve between Barton Bridge and the M61 interchange do not start until mid September and wont finish before April / May 2018. After we have done all of our groundworks there are plenty of follow on trades...

I dont think i will make it to Marple as its too far on a school night but that wont come as a shock to anyone! I remember doing a ride there before - Daz went OTB as i recall on the first downhill. Think i have a bloody picture somewhere!

Well, if Mintimperial is playing out I shall definitely be there. For a pint afterwards anyway. I missed volleyball last week too so am torn about skipping two weeks on the trot. But then I've not ridden an MTB in *ages*

Daz's blood wasn't from going OTB, he had a disagreement with a tree, quite an achievement round there as there's only about 3 trees on the route!

Ah go on, come on out to ride too! Ball games will still be on the week after, but MNPRs don't venture south more than once a year... 🙂

Haha, that clip has an uncanny likeness to nbt.
Mint Imperial - I'm looking forward to it. Although, I may have to bale if you lot have to wait for me too much.

I've been prepping, I'll be out. Bunnyhop, Karl and Cat are all coming too - the ladies reserve the option to call it a day early and scarper home

I'm coming assuming I can get out of work on time, ride home, sort bike and kit out, then drive to Marple.

Anyone from Tod need a lift?

That was excellent*. We should make the effort to ride Marple more often.

See how much warmer the weather is down south 😉
Thanks to scaled for leading. Also it was great to meet such a friendly bunch, but next time please leave a bit of that testosterone at home. 🙂

Naughty badger.

That was the muddiest ride I've been on in months. Still picking grit out of my eyes this morning. Apologies for the racing, probably my fault along with the usual suspects 🙂
