Good morning folks,
Sorry for opening another mmmbop headset thread, I've had a good root around various forums and can't find the info I need.
I've recently got hold of a Ragley Mmmbop frame which has a superstar 1.5" to 1.125" headset for using straight 1.125" steerer forks. I want to fit a fox 32 with tapered steerer. I plan to only change the bottom headset cup using either Hope or Cane Creek pick and mix bits but I'm not sure which part will fit.
Has anyone got one of these fitted or can recommend a better option? I'm trying to build the bike up using as few new parts as possible as the missus is at home to see any shiny new bits the postie might bring.

I think the Hope bottom Cup H will allow you to run the tapered fork option.

My headtube is straight 1.5 inch. The F cup was what I was thinking would fit, but I was after assurance from someone who had fitted one already. It looks to me like the H cup is for 1 1/8 headtubes.
It might well be possible to just replace the crown race rather than the entire headset cup, some 1.5 to 1 1/8th headsets use the race as an adaptor so the headset itself works for 1.5 or 1 18th. Though that depends on a compatible one existing.
