[#1694127]

I finally got out for a ride on it last night. Went to the local DH track on Kilvey Hill in Swansea, met up with Julian the trail builder. Had a great time and the bike rides superbly. All was well until the last run down the hill where after my front wheel dug in and threw me over the bars, no damage to me but this is my wheel

do you think I can true it? 🙄

aarrrrggghhhh , 40 years old and I still get Harry Potter comparisons 🙁

I was riding with the Welsh Masters DH Champion and he said "you were really going for it right up to the point where the tyre dug in and the wheel folded, good though" which cheered me up 🙂

What headset did you fit?

I fancy an mmmBop but all the headsets seem pricey compared to what I normally use

Because you need a reducer there is not much choice. Hope ones are about £60..... 😯

Are wizard years like dog years? As you look about 20.

spev - I know this has been said before on this thread but, YOU ARE 40!?!?! What do you sleep in, Formaldehyde?

Anyhow, if you are 40 fair play to you fella, you must doing something right as you're wearing well.

On the other hand if you are 40 stop dressing like a kid.

headset is an Element reducer from CRC 63 quid but has 2 lower cups for head angle adjustment.

as for the looks and age, well I'm flattered thank you all 🙂 I don't smoke, stopped drinking about 15 years ago (apart from the about 3-4 pints of stout a year)and plenty of cycling, surfing and just being outdoors seems to have helped.
I figure one day i'll wake up and look about 90 🙂

Is here an upper age limit on riding gear?

from pictures of me in the 80's and 90's I appear to be wearing some peculiar gear, and I confess to wearing lycra back then on more than one occasion (sorry to anybody who may have seen a stick insect in multi coloured lycra)
