Depends where in Scotland, depends on weather for previous couple of weeks, and on the day in question, depends on micro location as well.

But yes, expect to be on the menu for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Get some Avon Skin So Soft, I got eaten alive uop there a couple of years ago, then found that the locals use this stuff, it really works, and you'll be a smooth as a babys bum all over.

you get used to it eventually Well having lived in Scotland for 41 years I'm still not used to it, how long is it supposed to take?

Anyway depends where you go and what the weather is like really.

"the locals" LOL i like it

Yep us locals use Avon Skin So Soft, but really does depend on location and weather - if it's been rainy and hot expect squillions - if it's bone dry you'll be lucky to find any IMO.

You never "get used" to it. How bad they are depends on loads of factors, but if you are on a bike and keep moving they generally aren't an issue. It's if you are camping they can be really bad. And I mean really bad.

Oh, and Skin So Soft works for many folk, but not everyone.

Wouldn't let all that put you off coming though. The problem only affects small localised areas.

Buy a midge headnet - you will look ridiculous but you won't care!
