I'm looking to buy a new BB, want something middish range. Wondering about the crank bros chromoly (£55) but interested in what others have had good experience of. So... recommendations... ?

so why are large bearings good? personally i like the feel of cartridge bearings more than ball bearings. Might give theses superstar bb's a whirl though.

i wouldn't buy anything from superstar ever again with the experience i've had. my bb has lasted all of about 2 rides in the dry at glentress

Why large bearings?

Its all to do with surface area to spread the loads and impacts.
