Have a long weekend available mid-november and was thinking of a (1st) trip to the Peaks, or eastern Dartmoor for a dose of(hopefully)rocky techy trails. But will grim weather make these areas too grim? Open to ideas about 3:30-4:30 hours drive from London...

How long's a piece of string? Plan routes for both & pick the one with the best weather on that weekend. Probably suggest picking a couple of trail centres in case weather is shitty at both. My local trail centre is Cannock and you can ride it in pretty much any weather.

Done N Welsh trail centres and although i enjoyed them i prefer natural trails, but they do work in all weathers... considering Afan now!
