Bought some new baggy shorts from Merlin earlier in the week, they arrived next day so very chuffed for that but it was a slight shame to discover that the top button on the shorts was already broken when I opened the wrapping. I phoned Merlin this morning to highlight the issue and have asked for the shorts to be replaced with a new replacement pair which they've said is fine (I only opened the packing so they remain unused and still have tags attached). I've therefore popped them back in the post back to Merlin with a note & photocopied version of the invoice highlighting the fault and requesting that the replacement pair is sent.
Anyone got experience with Merlin for returns - speed etc? I can't fault their rapid delivery so far and bear no grudge against them for the faulty shorts (just seems like an unlucky manufacturing defect by the short company), I just hope the replacement ones arrive as speedily as the originals did! Slight PITA to foot the £5.50 Royal Mail Special Delivery cost aswell but it's one of those things I suppose, they're not quite the bargain they originally were!

They're good. They probably will (they should anyway) refund you the return postage cost.

They are spot on. Once sent me wrong width pair of tyres. After a phone call new pair sent out before i had returned the original ones-and postage sorted too. Can't ask for better than that.
