Anyone using Memory Map that can maybe help ? I've downloaded the Memory May on to my iPhone and uploaded a GPX file of the SDW to the Memory Map App and it now appears in the 'Tracks' tab. I can then see the route on the map. How do I then use this to actually navigate the SDW ? There's nothing in the 'Routes' section and I can't see a way of converting it to a route. Cheers

If you can see the line on the map then just follow it. Doesn't matter if it is a route or a track.

Yes, I understand it's possible to convert between routes and tracks.
More this evening, if no-one replies before then.

I don't have an iPhone, but if the functionality is as in the Android app there is not, so far as I know, any way to convert tracks to routes using the app.

You can, however, convert tracks to routes in the PC application. This is free to download, it's the maps you pay for. Right click on the route and choose Operations > Convert to route.

Personally, I navigate as nickjb says, follow the line on the map, so it doesn't matter if it's a route or a track. I don't think the apps have the feature to give turn by turn directions using the MM route, but even if you have a dedicated MM device that does, is pretty pointless. The SatNav in a car knows where the roads are and assumes you're on the nearest one, and it knows what junctions are. On a bike trail, MM only knows where the route is, and where you are. If your GPS position is 2m to the left of the route, it tells you to turn right, even though you're on the trail and there are no turnings. I don't want to spend my ride looking at the screen anyway!
