I've got a Bird Aether 9 medium long and a large 2020 Orbea Wild. The Wild was second hand used wet and has blotted it's copybook a couple of times leaving me almost stranded. It also feels very unwieldy in anything other than winch and plummet, I probably don't need 38s.  The bird fits me great, standover and reach are perfect.

I'm in the market for a replacement full fat eeb, preferably used. What frame has similar geometry to the Bird M-L or at least the lowest standover?

A Gen 3 Levo isn't wildly different, albeit a bit less standover.

Mboy will be along shortly to tell you that Specialized ebikes are shit, but...

They are hugely popular for a reason, they ride extremely well, haven't got any nasty headset cable routing - and for not stupid money, drop the motor, send it to performance line bearings for a Brose refurb/sealing upgrade and it'll be as good as new.

The S4 is 7mm shorter reach than your Aether, but I have a 42mm stem on mine over the standard 35mm, so puts it pretty much the same effective reach barring a bit of pedantry about angles, spacers and other such. Specs vary massively from Comp to S-Works though so worth doing a bit of research

I’ve owned a G3 Levo (alloy comp) and I think it’s a good suggestion, and I guess prices may have dipped a bit now the Gen 4 is out(?). FWIW, I’ve had a demo of G4’s a couple of times, but my word, they are heavy! Feels like Spesh have pushed the G4 more into Enduro/bike park beasts.

I’ve also got or owned a couple of ex-demo Spesh SL’s and they’ve both been/were pretty reliable and trouble free. Spesh eebs seem a bit easier to work on than some other brands eebs, and as AsSTR has mentioned, the Brose motors are serviceable.

I believe Mondraker do medium or medium/long frames for their ebikes and from the number of them I see on the trails there should be a few used ones around for sale

Try looking at Large sizes. My large Trek Rail+ has, I think 10mm longer reach than my Aeris 9.
With a 32mm stem, vs the 45mm supplied it feels perfect for me.

Don’t know the stand over numbers, but at 183cm tall, the 200mm dropper has a few cm of post to the collar.
