Had a look at that the other week. Got to say, the BC level 2 award seems to me to be closer to a TCL than a MBL (in between the two though).
Interesting all the same, it looked at first like the BC awards were more aimed at coaching than leading and would be add-ons to the MBL, but this is obviously a parallel scheme. Presumably they will eventually have a level 3?
(BC level 2 specifies technical level equivalent to "red grade trail centres" whereas MBL is definitely aimed at black grade+ - e.g. some providers near Aviemore do the tech assessment on Laggan black, which is about as black as trail centres get).
I'm guessing they want a piece of the pie.
