what would happen were you to put a longer travel shock unit on a FS frame aswell as longer forks in order to gain more travel both ends. Would this sort of balance it out?? ie: not alter the geometry of the frame too much??? I'm thinking it would raise the BB height and shorten the wheelbase.....

Forgive my ignorence if this sounds stupid( which it does), just a thought ๐Ÿ˜€ (I also don't want to have to buy new forks.... I love my Fox's ๐Ÿ˜• )

You're right: That is a silly question. There are so many variables that would determine this: The strength of the frame, the clearance of the shock in the frame, suspension design and leaverage ratios etc.

If you are thinking of doing this, I would recommend getting a new frame or bike instead
