Fancy a pair of these running Ghetto Tubeless. There was an old thread about it but it fizzled out (think it was a group buy)

All the 2.4's I've had from CRC have been EXO's.

Are you running Tubeless? I fancied a Ghetto setup, for no other reason than I havnt done it before.

Ton, are your's the EXO sidewalled version though? They're much tougher than the normal version and certainly not like toilet roll. They're not even that much heavier

Yeah, the EXO thing is an extra layer in the sidewall that toughens them up and helps prevent pinches and tears whilst adding as little weight as possible. Very new though (only been around a month or so)

I had no issues with the ardent side walls, but then I'm not a big unit so I ride light (mince) over stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰

like all maxxis they play very nicely with a stans set up as well with minimal faffage

Got mine yesterday from the place in Tomthumb's link (Singlespeed central)

They have exo sidewalls. I have mounted ghetto tubeless (using 24" tube and Stans) Didnt stand a chance with the track pump, but went up nicely with the compressor. Still holding 50psi right now, but dont know what to expect on the first outing (there will be a couple of tubes in my bag ๐Ÿ™‚ )

for no good reason, here is a pic

[img] [/img]

I know the rear mech tensioner looks gash but I have tried 3 and the mech is the only one that doesnt slip (you get a full wrap-around) Never had the prob on my 456...(but chain came out almost the right length on that one)
