Hi All,
The Maxle on my trusty 2014 orange 5 is disintegrating - the 12 mm outer has broken at one end and seems to be getting worse.

As far as I can tell the size is 135 x 12 mm which seems to be an old size

I've had a look around and can only find another for around £40 which seems a little excessive for a simple peice of metal

Does anyone know of a good source of this kind of Maxles or if there is another option I should consider
Perhaps I'm being tight?

I'm sure you will let me know!

Cheers
Alastair

@binners has a ‘number’ of axles I’m led to believe….

Maybe he could phone the landladies of all the guest houses he has stayed at and see if there is a spare somewhere for me?
@binners?

Brand x from CRC. Measure the length and thread pitch etc. If they do one that is slightly too long you can use spacers.

I'm pretty sure I've got one in the spares box from an old 135x12 frame. Send me a message through here if your interested
