These have been superb wheels, 8 years old now but braking performance is getting worse and have to press levers hard to stop. The exalith coating is disappearing now and feels quite smooth which accounts for the poor braking performance. Any hacks or will it be new rims?

Back to normal pads? From memory the Exalith pads were rock hard so they didn’t wear out.

Yeah, clubby has it. You've basically now got a nice aluminium rim with no coating, so just go to regular pads (and watch how quickly they wear, as any remnants of Exalith will shred them pretty fast).
I love mine too, they're not worn like yours yet. They're the *chef's kiss* of aluminium road wheels.

Thanks guys, didn't realise I could use regular brake pads.
