As per title really, off to watch the Sunday finals with my son. Quite fancied a course walk but I imagine the best spots are the big features, road gap, waterfall etc. will there be practice in the morning before the live final?

I’m under no illusions this might be better on the telly, but making a weekend of it with a ride round the beast at does-y-Bremen on the Saturday.

When I went last time, we slowly worked our way up the features during practice. Watched a couple of riders at each point. Then as the finals were happening we slowly worked our way back down to be in the finish area for the final run. Only one rider on track means there's about 3-5 minutes between them, this was generally enough to make it between major features, without missing too much. Definitely better to watch on RBTV to see full runs, but the size of the features is crazy and doesn't come across on the replay.

Also, looks like I'll have a spare seat in the car for Sunday, if anyone reading this wants to DM me and meet over that way and come in with us. I've paid for up to 5 people, might as well fill the car.

Take stuff to do, it can be a very long day with very little riding. It's great to see the features in real life but there's so little riding that time really drags.

All noted, like I said, not anticipating it being full on action but wanted to see the features and maybe meet some riders and allow my son to spend money on merch.

Went in 2019 on both the Saturday and Sunday with my then 9 year old daughter who isn't really into biking. We had a blast, at no time was there any boredom or want to do other things. Time did not drag.

If you get there early enough it's good to walk up to the big step up after the canon (this was as far as they would allow spectators), you can cross the course and get a brilliant view of the step up and the next 2/3 features. Watch practise then start ambling down. We were down in the 'arena' for the train which happened just before lunch, then made our way back up to the hip for final runs and walked down again.

Spectacular. Riders very accessible. Danny Mac signing autographs, lots of people signing after the podium.

Have a great day.
