Hi,
Got mavic crossrides on my zesty - looks like 6 bolt rotor fitting but cannot how rotors come off (no access to the bolts!)!? ๐Ÿ˜ณ
I think they may be then supplied with an adaptor....in which case if I need new rotors do I go for 6 bolt fittings or centrelock?
Thanks,
Bikey

6 bolts why you ask myself well simple
6 bolt rarely become loose, CL less rarely.
There is 3 different standard of centerlock.
In the unfortunate event one of the 6 bolt get loose, most of the multi tool have a torx wrench to screw it back.
To be fair I would have much prefer shimano get something done about the stupid cones and cups hub, rather than do something as useless are creating a need when everything was fine.

there is a lock ring that a shimano bottom bracket tool that will fit it to remove it.

Then your right there is an adapter which enables you to use a 6 bolt rotor of your choice.

hope that helps?

Spline tool's for Shimano, Mavic use a HT2 tool and a 6 stud adapter with a 6 bolt disc.
