Is it possible to mount an M8100 shifter to an M785 brake lever?

Not officially. The M8100 uses the new I-spec EV attach-things-to-brake-levers standard where the M785 uses I-spec II which is completely different. Dunno if Problem Solvers has made a doohickey that solves this problem yet...

I spec ll is m8000.

£30 for a SLX SL-M7100 band-on... pull apart stick XT internals inside and not have to bother with i-spec again

Wolftooth I spec ev to ispec b, the weird looking one with the grub screw, better off swapping for bar mount shifter.
Assuming you have I spec ev one.
