There seems to be some good deals on various models of these forks at the moment. But i seem to remember hearing bad things about them. Do they all break? or was that just 2008 models? what about 2009 ata's?

I have a pair of 09 55Rs. They were fantastic for the first couple of months then lost travel - the damper had hydrolocked and they weren't covered under warranty as I bought them from Canada. Windwave/UK Bike Store sorted me out with a new damper very quickly though for £50 and they've been absolutely fine since (cost me a total of £270 including original price, shipping and new damper so not too bad).
