Thought mine was a great fork, shame i had to get it fixed 3 times before finally deciding to sell it on.

Great fork if you can pick one up cheap, and if you are prepared to have a bit of a fettle with the damping. I paid £200 for mine with only two rides on 'em, wouldn't pay much more than that. Be aware that there were serious problems with the 2008 model, requiring a replacement TST2 cartridge from Windwave. If you have no warrantee and need a new cart, this may cost you about £100.

They have a lockout function that goes from fully active to locked out in 5 incremental steps. However, the damping system that allows this is quite basic and only has low speed compression damping (Slow speed impacts.

When you start hitting rocky stuff fast the forks cannot cope and start spiking (not absorbing all impacts), resulting in painful hands and pumped up forearms.

There is a simple fix for this that converts the lockout function to shim stack damping, giving you fully tunable high speed compression damping, but loosing the lockout.

Cost me £20 in parts and about 2 hours work to convert mine. Use of a blowtorch may be required 😉

There is a huge thread on mtbr about the conversion with pictures and step by step how to instructions.
