doing the chainreaction 75k marathon in july just wondering which bike to take as never been to long mynd before
choice of scott scale 29er carbon h/t, or anthem 80mm full sus
leaning towards the scott as beleive theres a fair bit of climbing
anyone advise cheers.
Did the 50k last year on my Wolf Ridge, which weighs 33lbs and it wasn't too onerous. There's always plenty of climbing on these things though.
I did it on a rigid SS last year but will probably take my 6" trail bike because you can have fun on the trails in Eastridge and Minton Batch. For the most part it's rolling hills with longish climbs and some flat with country lanes.
Jim, that's why i took the Wolf Ridge rather than my more XC oriented bike. I'll be taking it again 'cos it was fun!
I'll be taking my Voodoo Wanga SS. Because that's what I've got! 😉
