Just returned from short break in lake district when on the top of Hellvellyn I meet couple of guys with interesting map holders fitted to the bars. The board is very similar to Nordemnark, hovewer the price is nearly half less then Miry. As they stayed on this same campsite in Glenridding as me I've tryied one later. I found very easy to fit and adjust in correct position. There is no tools needed and the board will fit both standard and oversize bars.
After all I decide to get one for myself. Price £35, which compare to Miry £60 is nearly half price. I'm after 4 rides with the board and I need to say that I'm very impressed.
Defifnitely would recommend if someone is loooking for good quality of board for reasonable price.
bit excessive really - saw some in REI in houston basically a mapcase with 3 velcro tabs that went round the bars and stem - looked similar to what alot of the guys doing the long distance races were using
Looks a pretty huge thing to have on your bars. What happens when you stack it?
IMHO, leave the map in the bag and use some map memory (that's remembering what's on the map when not looking at it, not to be confused wit memory map the gps mapping software, although that can be useful and a gps is a lot smaller than that map table).
They are useful for trailquests, mbo etc. it's good to have a view of your next few checkpoints so you can map out options on the hoof.
the OP reads like a dodgy ebay ad!!
LoL, hadn't thought of that!
Member for 21 hours. Hmmm...
Headfirst, maybe it is (noticed it's his first post here). Sorry, I'm being cynical!
He thanks guys 🙂 I'm not really a person who spend my free time typing on forums and facebook 🙂 my free time is for my workout...
Unfortunatelly I'm not connected with this guys.
If someone is compete on AR or trailquests he know how much work he need to put in to this to become better then typical "pushbiker" 🙂 struggling uphill and riding down on his own belly 🙂
..easy to find people like that on forums without a clue about real MTB..
Soory if I'm being to honest
I'm only fascinated girl
