I'm looking at the full round trip of about 130 miles, so I hope the weather is kind.

Yes, also planning to cycle back to Wigan making it ~100 miles, never been that far before. Will be on a SS Roadrat.

I'm in, How are you lot (apart from terra) getting to the start and what route for getting back? I want to be home in time to see the tour on tv so I'll be starting at 7:00 but with the ride over from Hazel Grove, it looks like I'll have to set of at 6:00am.

From my house terra', no Northern end of Manchester head starts ๐Ÿ™‚
I did the Sarn Helen last week. it was ace, you should do it. 3 days. Easy enough to navigate.
I might nick the wife's car and drive over to O/T.

lol - it should pish down over night and clear up nice and early.
we are aiming to leave around 8am - only about a mile away from the start so we should manage that. there is 3 of us and I'll be on my focus cayo and sporting my bargintastic white catlike helmet.

Mine will be either Spesh Langster Monaco or green Bianchi or white and red Willier (not sure which has flat tyres - I know one or more has), I'll have my tattoo arm warmers on though. Any pushes along the way will be greatly appreciated.

I'll look like this (ok maybe a bit happier)

there will be a 4 or 5 with these jerseys on though. I'll be riding a white Scott. Say hello!
