A mate (40yrs old) had a heart attack a couple of months ago and has been getting on v well having had a stent put in. Excellent course of rehab and a couple of stones lighter.

Healing vibes fella.

Earlier this year I attended a boggies ride after an absense of a year or 2, Simon gave me the biggest hug which says a lot about the guy he is.

Theres no one I respect more for putting time into his sport for the benefit of many over the years.

I hope we see him back on the trails and footpaths very soon

Plum

PS its been great to see the bogtrotters expertise and spirit pull everthing together at this time so well done all of you

Get well soon SBF

Well done to the guys that treated him
I bet that 30 mins was hard work and felt a lot longer (No disrespect to the emergency service, you were no doubt in the middle of nowhere)
so good he wasn't alone and you knew what to do

I joined STW about 5 years ago and in reply to my very first post somebody asked me if i was Simon F Barnes....I couldn't lie, I am not!

Good luck fella on your speedy full recovery, have enjoyed your style of photos over the years, looking forward to the next set ๐Ÿ˜‰

F-in-L had CPR performed on him no more than a couple of months ago....found it hard to keep up with him a fortnight ago on a good speed ride! Thumbs up to the folk who can perform CPR

Latest from his son on FB is that he's beginning to come round out of his anaesthetic and has been moved to a general ward rather than ICU which sounds like good news.

Certainly a lot better than "critical", crazy-legs.

I suspect SFB will be thoroughly baffled by the outpouring of adulation when he discovers this thread!

I can't help thinking that 7 pages into an SFB thread with no arguing is some sort of record.

Glad he's improving.
