Whilst leading a boggies ride around Winster on Saturday Simon Barnes has suffered a heart attack, two of the group administered CPR until paramedics arrived which was around 30 minutes!
He was stabilized and taken to Lancaster Infirmary he his now critical in Blackpool coronary care ๐Ÿ™
My thoughts and the whole of the bogtrotters club are with Simon and his family.
Bravo to the group that got him treated and administered life saving fist aid!

Rich

Jees, never met the guy but obviously seen much of his input on here, must have been a scary time for all involved, as not some thing you expect to happen on a ride.

Worrying times for friends and family, lets hope that he pulls through and manages to get a full recovery.

Get well soon !

Wowza! Well done to those who knew what to do. I'm beginning to think it's inexcusable I've not done a CPR course.

Fingers and cables all crossed for Simon here, too.

Blimey that's unlucky and lucky in equal measure. Unlucky for the heart attack in the first place but bloody lucky that his mates could perform CPR properly until help arrived.

Get well soon Simon.

Just a quick one I have just been informed not all of Simons relatives have been informed of the situation, there is not a lot I can do about this thread but if you could be mind full when posting on Facebook/twitter for the next 24hrs.

He is stable and sedated on a ventilator @ the moment.
Rich
