Are the trails still running well at Mallards and has there been any more major felling since spring? Thanks!

Quite a lot of felling about 6-8 weeks ago sadly...

Haven't gone back since so don't know if any trails have cleared since, but half the trails were covered in debris... This was the weekend that was particularly windy though, I suspect locals might have done a bit of cleaning up since then.

Thanks Mark! Did the felling affect the trails much? Which area did they hit?

Traditional Mallards is pretty much smoked now. All of the lakeside trails have gone & the space has been deer fenced. The Blackpool side of the hill has been scalped at the top & is being prepped to be fenced in also, so whatever has been kicked in to link up to the lower stuff will be gone again soon.

There are still a few trails round the Soudley side of the woods, but there isn’t a lot left.

Still trails on the Yorkley side of the hill for now.

Thanks everyone!
@hobnob - Is it much worse than the beginning of the year, as a lot had been felled then?

the space has been deer fenced

I know it's all unofficial and tolerated but it's some of the most fun and accessible stuff in the FOD - such a shame to lose it.
