A mate is getting married in August, so we are doing a mini stag with his biking contingent mates.ย  Kinda settled on Wales as the best destination 5th, 6th Julyย

ย

7 of us going in mostly campervans and probably one tent.

ย

Thinking of staying here

Anyone stayed, looks pretty chill?

ย

Dyfi bike park on the Saturday and then Mach 3 on the Sunday.ย

ย

Sort of know what to expect at Dyfi - how about the Mach 3. Decent ride or is there better in the area

Climachx is a good old school Afan type place, the trails flow well, if a bit hilly at times.ย

The only other stuff I've ridden is behind co-op but mostly private land.ย

We stayed here last time we went to Dyfi, pretty basic site but nice enough and only 5 mins pedal to the bike park.

Climach X is decent - the last descent is ace. There are some off piste bits you can link into the lap for a bit more tech. Would much rather do this than Mach 3.

Mach 3 is almost a gravel bike ride for me - I did it a few years back and there was endless climbing on fireroads for very little reward. One track had been gravelled ruining that, there was some DH on grass and 1 steep and loose but straightforward little descent. Would avoid if you like mountain biking.
