thinking about making the short driver over to macc forest, but just hoping for some info. where do i park, what are the trails like and can you just up and find a trail or do you need a map?

also, is it a good place for stringing together bits of singletrack like cannock or sherwood pines?

and any other tips!!

Quite a lot of trails in the area - quick google will bring up a few loops taking in teggs nose. The firest itself isn't amazing (but would be great if they threw money at it) charity lane is good and if you go up to the cat and across Dane bower hollow you can drop down Cumberland brook which is great.

No, its the other side of the Buxton - Congleton road to Three Shires. It drops down to Wildboarclough taking you back towards Macc forest. Cracking bit of trail.
