I've got the right hand gear cable out but I just can't put the new one in. Should the new cable be inserted with the lever positioned for low or high gear ? Looking into the 'pod' when I push the cable through with the big hole showing the cable doesn't grip so I guess it should be when I can see only a small hole but I can't get it to slip in !! The left hand shifter has no inner hole cover so how do I put a cable in this side ? HELP.......

|Left side unscrew and swing open.
Right side, in the highest gear (small cog) look in and adjust the lever a bit, you should be able to see the hole.

Cheers Quirrel,I'll give it a go in a minute. Probably wasn't a good idea to try to do it after a 75 mile offroad ride in the rain and mud !!
