Hi, not sure that I really need a DSLR but not sure how good these "bridge" cameras are. Wnat to take decent photos. Mostly sporty stuff so shutter delay needs to be small (if that makes sense?)

Going to look at one at the local Panasonic shop today for the very same reason 🙂 BTW the new Lumix compacts have very good image quality and 16x optical zooms at 1/2 the price 🙂

Might be worth looking at the new Olympus e-p3 and e-pl3 which are just hitting the market too. The reviews are claiming they have DSLR level focus speed.

Cool, thanks. Just had a look at the G2 and a Nikon D3100. I know the D3100 is "better" but not sure that it would make a difference to me
