I seem to have lost the bolt from the top of the brake lever.
I came off my bike 3 weeks or so ago (broken elbow bone) and went for a first 5 minute pootle today up and down the road. I guess I lost the bolt when I came off as I usually check and clean my bike thoroughly after each ride. I think I'd have spotted it if it was missing before then.
The brake felt fine. The top cap of the brake lever is tight. Is the bolt important? Any idea what dimensions it is and where I can get a replacement?
It's the one on top, closest to the 'X' in 'XT' in the pic below.

You mean the bleed cap?
The raised one close to the X? That'll be the top cap for the oil reservoir... You'll want to get that replaced before any proper riding. It will allow brake oil to leak and/or air to enter the system, which could be "exciting" on a trail
