Hi
Have lost my Edge 705 and SD topo, somewhere round Ipswich.
Insurance will pay for the unit, but not the Map card.
Can I download one/unlock one from anywhere for 'free'. Would not mind the full DVD one if anyone knows how ? unlocking may be a problem ?

There's plenty of it about on the Torrent sites, but as you'll soon be reminded by the massive, copying software is theft 😉
I wouldn't bother with the Garmin topo map anyway. Just download the free openmtbmap. I have found these much better than the garmin offering.
The good thing about these maps is they can be edited. If I find a track thats not on the base map I can upload it with JOSM and voila it'll be in the next map download.

Tried the free one, downloaded it but the Edge did not recognise it.
Do I need to change something ?
