Friend is looking for first road bike as wanting to start doing some sprint triathlons and has asked me to find a suitable bike. Has a small budget of less than £400 so I'm coming to you as a collective for suggestions. She' want's to buy new to avoid secondhand hassle. I've found this at Halfrauds. £100 off as well. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

They are meant to be quite a good road bike. I considered one of those and the Giant Defy & SCR until I decided I wanted to punish myself with a fixie :D.

You can't really go wrong with Giant and if you find the right dealer (Evans/Wiggle etc) they usually have last years stock at a reduction AND womens specific which don't seem to sell in large numbers.

Giant or a Ribble Cycles build may also bring you better value than the Carrera - steel forks will be heavier than alloy or carbon.

Not sure Ribble build that cheap???-worth checking the site.
