Currently have a set of Halo Freedoms, which have been with me for 2 bikes now. They've been though a fair bit and was thinking of upgrading to a new set.
Main things I was looking for was a wheel that was a bit lighter, but still strong (the Freedoms have been bombproof for me) and have the potential to be converted to tubeless.
I have a budget of around £300, been looking at Halo Chaos, Spank Spike 28 Race and Hope Pro 2 evo on Stans.
Not sure if the Chaos would go tubeless, and I've read the Flows can moosh easier than the other 2 if ridden hard - I'm 6'3, 16 and a half stone and ride a fair amount of rocky or rooty trails, think the biggest drop I routinely do is about 2 or maybe 3 feet so would need to go for a wheel that could stand up to that. Ride on a hardtail too, so would need a 135 qr rear wheel.
Any ideas/opinions on the wheels I'm thinking of, or suggestions of what other ones I've not thought of that would be pretty good?
