Gonna be staying near the Ricoh Areana (Coventry) in a couple weeks. Me and another meeting attendee from up north fancy a ride at some point.
Any suggestions for somewhere close-ish to ride (on the journey there perhaps)? I'm coming from the South West and he's coming down from Sheffield way. Ideally want a trail centre or at the very least somewhere with easy waymarked trails as time might be against us.

Cannock is your best option there.

If he's coming from the south west, you could go further and meet at FOD. About 1.20hrs from Cov.
But yeah, Cannock is nearer.
Malvern is closer than that, but no way marked trails.
Thats the problem. I thought of FOD but wasnt sure on distance. Considered Malvern too but as time and no knowledge is an issue!
Cannock is only a bit nearer. I'd be putting in an extra 20-25 minutes or so each way to ride at Malvern or even Long Mynd.
EDIT: Long Mynd is actually nearer for you in theory, and an extra half hour for him.
