Larger of the Cursing offspring required a lower service on his trail bike.
Seems he has lost the bolt from the bottom of the airspring side. Luckily the seal has held and there was still oil in there.
We now have a crisis, a large crisis. Not sure LBS will have one of the Rockshox kits in stock and won't be able to fing out till the morning. (7:15 here)
Does anyone know what size bolt I need, there is a specialist bolt place not far away.

Thanks in advance

Take the fork to bolt place, should be a cap screw about 15mm shank length, canny mind if it's m8 or m6 though.

It's a size 5 hex key so that should be M6? Do you still have the two washers?

No washers nothing. They have dropped out whilst he was shredding the gnar or whatever they do.

Edit: Not an m6 - that's brake mount size. Just whipped a couple out of a Recon and a Reba - looks like M8. Recon one has 16mm of thread, Reba is 15mm.

Recon one looks like this:

That looks like it might be the ticket. First stop LBS, second bolt place.

Cheers.

Guessing you'll need a crush washer and crush washer cup to use with a standard bolt.

Should get away with just a nylon or soft copper washer for a few rides.
