Just about finished. Need to shorten the chain by a couple of links and am thinking about knocking a few cms off the brake hoses.

Looking at the pic a bit more the hoses need to be shorter. I have built the Cotic from the bits that were on my SC Heckler.

I have a 1 yr old frame in black and wanted the new one in black, but am really liking the green and am happy with the choice.

You could run both brakes on the inside of the frame and forks?

Lovely build. Is that a 150mm fork?

forks look to long and its got 4 pot brakes (its not a downhill bike)

also, inner tube wrapped round the NON driveside stay? why?

brake hose route on the outside of the fork leg!!!

Forks are 140 floats. My other soul had 140 vanillas and I like the way it rides at that angle.

Brakes are good, hoses are now shorter and routed on the inside. I have a set of X2s but prefer the M4s.

I always wrap both sides to prevent heel rub. When I sell my old frames folk seem to appreciate that.

See your mistake was taking no for an answer, I was pretty insistent re. the Solaris and I was going have one in green no matter what. And lo and behold, the next shipment was half green

That said I'm serious tempted with the duck egg, esp because it's half matt. Just as well I'm skint otherwise I could've been *persuaded* to relegate the black one for commuting duties....

+1 hose routing

backsweep on bars looks odd - photo effect?

I have the BFe in the same colour.

Hoses all nicely done now. The HBs have been rotated back. Just need to bleed the brakes, it was getting too cold to do them today.

Same forks, brakes, wheels and tyres as mine - just needs a dropper post (get one! get one! get one!) and I'd feel very much at home on it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Def a difference with how it rides. I'm detecting less flex when the power is put down. I have swapped my wheels over for my other set of RQ and Flows which are setup tubeless and the bike feels great.

Fence could do with a lick of paint or treating.
