[#11215281]

I've tried using standard road bibs under baggies but find them to be much warmer than the Endura Clickfix liners which came with the shorts.

Do any companies other than Endura make very lightweight bibshorts, possibly with mesh panels for use as liners under baggies? Nothing against Endura, just wondered if there were other options.

Got some Troy Lee air bib shorts, blooming brilliant, made of a light mesh, just what your looking for. Even have a stash pocket at the back.

EDIT: Hmmmm, think may be discontinued, sorry.

I’ve got Madison cargo bibs.
But I’ve also got the Endura ones which are slightly better.

Aussie grit have combined bib/lightweight baggie for £49 in their sale atm, look ideal.

Having compared endura click liners with proper cycling shorts the proper shorts massively win out for me.

I haven’t tried bibs yet - planning to buy some DHB Aeron ones quite soon. I bought the waist short version of them a week or so ago and they are a huge step on from the cheaper £30 dhb shorts - which in themselves were a good step in from the endura liners. Can’t say I noticed the waist shorts (proper Lycra ones) being much warmer than the endura ones.

I managed to pick up some cold black Endura pro SL for £60 from Sigma a few weeks back but I wonder if the price was an error as when i went back to get another pair they were nearly £100!

If you can track them down they're perforated, 700 series pad, mesh straps and back - well good.

Lots of company latched onto marketing for these and calling them "indoor trainer shorts " or " turbo shorts "

Seen them from dhb Madison endura etc.

That looks good - plus a really nice packable gilet for 12 quid.

I have two pairs of Morvello bibs which have mesh shoulder straps and back section. The styles are 'standard' and 'covert'.
Alpkit also have mesh straps & back, and are also a much lighter weight material - to the extent that they are somewhat see through when being worn!

Jesus, what's the catch? Already scored a really nice Gilet for 50% off the 50% off price, best fitting Gilet I've ever had (you'd think it wouldn't be hard...).

Cheers for the heads up

This was a dangerous topic - and it didn't even start with a PSA!

If you sign up to Aussie Grit you can get an extra 10% off which is very useful!

Cheers for the heads up

There was still 50% off the sale this morning, then it disappeared, so I didn't bother. I don't really need them tbh, but hey, when's it ever about need!. And Iainc has them now, so I definitely don't want to be seen in them!. 🙂

Sounds like it's time for an STW gravel meet (just your sort of thing Nobeer!). I've got a set and now my buddy has a pair too... 😀

Thanks for all the replies folks.

I don't mind them being a bit see through, they'll only be worn under baggies 😀

Nukeproof have been pushing bib undershorts.

Not tried them myself but their baggies are top-notch, so I'd hope for high quality.

Same here, even more reason for NoBeer to avoid them like the plague. 🙂

Despite now wearing the same clothing as the face planting weegie, I gave in and ordered a pair of the Aussie grits. Ooft. They're very good, sadly they're sold out, so ordered the standard non-bib shorts too.

Very good quality kit, super impressed.
