What do you do with your lights over summer?
Leave them on charge?
Leave them til winter?
Charge them now and again?
What’s best for the batteries?
Exposure toro and Diablo - if that makes any difference

Mine are left on charge. I'm often riding into the evening or doing a bikepacking trip though so will always take one in that case anyway.

I charge mine fully and store them in cool, dry conditions for six months. Never a problem.
People recommend 50% charge, but unless you have a way of measuring that...
Definitely don't store them discharged as some chemistries will drop below minimum and won't recover

You should charge them occasionally.

Leaving on charge permanently sounds like a bad idea.

I charge mine up and then store them. Occasionally check if they’ve dropped any charge but have always been fine so far (Exposures).

Surely with the price of electricity leaving them on charge is just frivolous.

Charge them then run them for about 30% of their runtime, so they’re around 70% charged.

The BMS takes mA... it just keeps asking are you full
Leaving them on charge or leaving fully charged though is frivolous as you are shortening the life of the cells.

I was being ever so slightly sarcastic but yes you’ve got a point about shortening the lifespan of the cells!

Depends on the system. I use Ayup and they recommend a full charge every 3 months.
