Hi
Well done, no
Yes. Which half
Never mind.

For more light, better off waiting 12 hours until the sun comes up.....

But seriously 3600 lumen - you trying to see through trees?!!

Jebus they're cheap, any idea of the run times? The battery pack looks tiny...

Each Led takes about 10 Watts (3A*3.2v)
3 leds take 30watts
LED driver 90% efficient
Battery needs to deliver 33watts

4*18650 cells 2200mAh
2.2Ah*3.6v*4 = 31 watt hours in battery pack (in ideal conditions)

so 40 mins on Max at best

There doesn't look like enough heat sinking to run the light full power for long without things overheating. Hopefully I'll be wrong and it'll be a great light tho 🙂

If it over heats, the LEDs will dim. Repeated cycles of this will make the light permanently lower output. I've seen it too on Lupine Wilma 4s. If there isn't enough cooling, the LEDs slowly cook so that 2-3 seasons later, the light isn't making the lumens claimed.
Horses for courses.

So if you dont use one:
1. Why bother replying?
2. Why not try to be a little more helpful?
3. Are you an authority on cheap chinese lights?
4. Are you really eccentric or just want to be?

Marco, if you ask for folks opinions on here you'll get them, some will be helpful, some will not.
Looks like an ok light, and a cheap price. If you're only wanting it to use for a winter or two then its worth a punt- like others have said there might be quality issues with it and the output prob wont be as claimed but it'll still be helluva bright im guessing!

Althepal
Yeah i know, but it bugs me when people reply just for the sake of it and with that patronising tone.
Got the light yesterday and for £36 it is awesome! If it only lasts a couple winters i'll be more than happy
Cheers for the helpful replies everyone!

Sounds about right on Max

Each LED draws about 10 watts + 90% efficient driver so 33+ watt demand from light
7.2v * 4.4Ah = 30 watt hours
but even if the capacity claim is true it is measured at much lower current, capacity will be less at high current drains

Edit
If it is a 6 cell pack then you should have nearer 45 watt hours

I've got one of these, and bought the six cell battery as an extra.
Getting 2.5 hours plus, on various settings, without it cuting out.
Sounds like a crappy battery to me.

I have one of these, It is a good light but there is no point running it on high. Each setting just turns on another led and there is no noticeable difference between having 2 and 3 led's on. running the light on the 2 led setting i found it lasted around 2 and a half hours (6*18650 battery). I prefer to ride with my magicshine mj-872.
