sorry if this has been asked elsewhere...I’ve got a nice pair of hope rs4 20five on my gravel bike that I have 35mm gravel tyres on and I’m going to trial some 45mm on there. But I’d like a cheapish Road wheelset with 28mm slicks I can swap out fairly easily.
thinking about the £300 mark and ideally around 1500g for the wheelset.
doable? They don’t need to be super strong as I’m pretty light and will use the hopes for the rough stuff.
Kinesis wheels about that weight and price but you will have to reset caliper.
Prime pro disc wheelset on crc for £270 are less than 1500g.
I've just bought the race disc wheelset for £170 and they weight 1640g.
I paid 342 for my 20five from tweeks, I know you've got some and that's a bit over budget... but they are good. Mine weighed under 1500g, less than the Hunt aerolight they replaced that were >£100 more
Thanks guys - maybe I should just get another set - be easier for switching duties!
Hunt are worth a punt 😁
I’m doing this but from 650b to a spare set of 700c and to avoid realignment issues with calipers and derailleur I’m getting a set made with pro 4 hubs and ashima discs
I got a set of those prime pro’s from crc, seem pretty good so far, and are light and under budget.
