So I've just taken a flier on a Lezyne 'Super pro'
related Mini PSA -£75 (3 left at time of posting) from upgrades eBay store (they also have a couple of light bundles)
My edge "Explore" has convinced me I want maps/turn by turn navigation AND useful battery life (at an affordable price) and colour screens don't actually matter much to me. So I thought I'd give Lezyne a go, I quite like the idea of a trying a landscape mode device too, but I'm too tight to go straight for the Mega XL if I decide I don't get on with Lezyne...
Anyway I've used Garmins up to now and therefore my bikes are mostly adorned with Garmin mounts in various positions, my initial intent is probably just to 3D print adapters/inserts of various flavours to suit each bike.
The only issue that has me slightly worried though is my MTBs, both of which have stem cap mounts.
It's easy enough to print/buy a new 'X-lock" insert I think, but is the stack height of a Lezyne on top of my steerer going to be a problem? Garmin's already sit a little proud in that position and their mounts are relatively slim. Am I going to have rethink some of my GPS mounting options? I'm Not a fan of out-front on MTBs for some reason...
Anyone had to deal with this before? Options?
