My handlebar remote stopped working yesterday. Can't switch between modes anymore. If I jiggle the cable where it enters the downtube, it feels "loose", I suspect it's not connected to anything down the other end
I've taken the battery cover off at the bottom of the frame, but that didn't reveal much.
Anyone know where the remote is actually connected? What do I need to remove to get to that connection!? I'm not exactly keen to pull the whole motor out tbh
Or is it best to just lbs or back to specialized with it!? It is over a year old.
Has it got a top tube display? If so, take it out (small torx) and there is a connection under there I think. That's where I connected my chip on my full fat levo

I think it connects to the TCU in the top tube. Shouldn't be too hard to remove that and see. While you are there you could replace your TCU battery, a CR1620.
Aaahhhh ok! I was thinking it would connect to the motor..... Let's see what I can do......
Boom...! Cables were connected, but I unplugged them, gave them a quick blow (fnarr) turned it off and on and hey presto, it's working again.
That's a satisfying win
