Ok, so I can not bring myself to sell my favourite frame ever, a Ridley crosser. So I have decided to make it my new touring bike. Currently it has Zipp wheels (that I would like to keep on it) with alloy braking surfaces and Tektro CR720 cantis. What I would like to know is what is the best pad (money no object!) for this combo?

I'd use Swiss Stop blue pads.

the rims will be strong enough, but it's likely that the spokes won't take the weight of any loaded tourging... it'll not be overly comfy either, which counts for a lot on long days in the saddle.
