Nice one! Amlost forgotten how hot, dry and dusty it was this summer in Les Arcs!

That first trail in the vid, the one off the back of the mountain, is such a good trail...... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great looking Vid - doesn't work if I click the link, but does if I press the video.

I'm heading to Led Arcs myself in July, looks very different to Morzine which was what we were after!

Hmmm something a little odd when trying to view this edit. On my mobile to view the video I have to click on the video image, but on the home PC I can use the link or video image.

Les arcs is great, that's the Third time there and still finding new trails.

Gutted, That first part of the clip, that bridge where youre mate went right and missed the line....... i do that every year, Great trails, and dusty as last year, about 11:34 any one else hit that exposed metal drain grid in the trail last year, they covered it over on the 2nd week but it was well sketchy......

And the descent to where the filming started, Jacksons / Axe Wound, ๐Ÿ™‚

So I basically rode the week with the GO PRO on, the edit was taking the best bits from the various trails.

If anyone, wants to see a particular trail I.e. Double header, etc let me know (with starting point described) and I'll try to get it uploaded onto youtube.

Don't suppose you have gpx files or strava details of your daily rides out there?

Excellent! - I think I saw my crash tree. Where I grabbed the branch in forward flight, descended in a controlled fashion and the bike carried on without me. A sight that could only be improved by wearing a pipe and slippers.

(If you up the Bit rate on the render for the upload you might get HD)

Its well worth paying for some quality guiding welshfarmer (trailAddiction), you'll get taken on way more trails that you'll ever find by yourself. Plus you'll get the logistical backup to do some of the bigger back country epics too. Even in a week you'll barely scratch the surface of what Les Arcs has on offer and then you go over the Vanoise and there's a whole other world of trails there too.

It always sad how many people we still meet trying to find their way around the mountains and meanwhile our guests have an absolute blast because they only have to think about the riding and little else.

I'd second TA. I dont know about you guys but the Alps destroys bikes, The mechanics on site at TA were kept BUSY when the guys got back from riding, SHIMANO brakes were a massive problem last year to about 75% of the chalet we were in.

Baring in mind the ammount of descending done in a day, and just from that vid what's that about a days riding compressed into one. Last year i managed two descents of Poundstratcher and 6 Black 8's in a day.

That equated to about 8 months of normal descending for me.

There are shops down in Bourg,, I would only advise using these in the day as an emergency OR if you are staying on the Valley floor........... Missing the last Fernie up is not for the faint hearted.......

And, i'll be riding the Van side this year, i was blown away by it last year.

@Southwest rider, do you have the Goldminers or Miners track whatever it's called from the Vanoise side?

I think it's 2 different tracks, according to Strava there is Gold Rush & Miners Strike. I seem to remember riding them both on that side of the hill.

Loved that...

Heading to the Alps for a month long super trip with my son this summer and I will be playing him this at the weekend as we are in Les Arcs for a week of that trip.

I just hope we get plenty of sun.... oh, to ride a dusty trail!

@ Timbud

Just to confirm I have done 2 years riding out there with Trail Addiction and we are going back again this summer on a self guided trip (but again staying with Trail Addiction and using a guide for a day). Have plenty of trails in mind to ride and will no doubt try some new ones too. Just a couple of spots on that video looked sweet. I am sure your guides will point us in the right direction when we get to the chalet ๐Ÿ™‚

@welshfarmer, sorry no gpx files - the trails are in my head!

Definitely back up what the others are saying about TA, if you want to get the most out of Les Arcs then being guided is the very best option.
The edit is a real mash up of trails, with one trail getting quite a long showing. It would probably take a couple of days to fully ride all those trails in the video.
I'm not sure if I have gold rush or miners strike on camera (not using strava means I don't know names) but I did ride that neck of the woods - one of the trails was ridden in pouring rain so the go pro was kept off that day, but I'll stick the other trail (and maybe a few other trails) we rode on to youtube and link it here.

Thanks for the positive comments, It was filmed so that I could enjoy the trails in deepest darkest winter on my TV! The chest cam does get a bit shaky at times, which did affect the quality of footage, doesn't bother me as its my riding holiday and brings back good memories! However I'm glad people are enjoying the edit.

Cheers

Anyone managed to nail that RIDICULOUS right left hairpin combo on Miners strike? Freaks me out big time.....

Last year, i did the whole week on one set of pads, although i was rocking 203mm and both ends on Saint twinpots with the OEM finned pads........ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yeah it very committing but not as hard as it looks... have to take the left tight and steep and you generate some nice speed from it.

You can actually spot it a few times in this Trans-Savoie Day2 video from last years race

Should've mentioned before, yours is a sweet little vid too southwestrider. A few of the trails you featured are in the above vid too.
