Given the number of pedal - leg interfaces I've had over the years, it's safe to say my career as a leg model will never get off the ground.
Been a bit more conscious of the number of scabs, scars and cuts over them in recent weeks.
Anyone found any good creams or similar for repairing the damage a bit quicker? I'll stick sudocrem on sometimes but it doesn't make any difference.
Strangely, cuts etc on my legs take ages to cosmetically heal.
Looking at one on my left leg right now from riding the SDW last August and it still looks like a pretty recent wound.
Always wondered why legs take so long to heal? Well,I mean, they heal but the superficial marks take bloody ages to go away?
Doesn't bother me personally but interested to know why at least.
an occlusive dressing preferably a hydrocolloid with heal up legs quickest. Slap it on, leave for a week, take it off to find it all healed up
Malt vinegar and lemon juice, works a treat.
I don't think it's a particular pedal thing only ever used clipless and my legs look like a war zone by september sudocream helps the healing (being old and all that). I also don't have and hair on my legs either now ?/
I've got fairly limited feeling in my lower legs anyway... so my legs usually look like a war zone. Weirdly I still feel the itchy mosquito bites yet can take a chainring chunk out of my leg and not notice... indeed I've got one now and have no idea when I did it and brambles etc I just don't really feel.
At 50 stuff doesn't heal as fast either.... but then

So combined with my nerve damage I barely pay any attention ...
I broke my arm last year and thought I'd better get a check-up... and I'd managed to "scratch my legs" at the same time. Normally I'd notice and wash the dirt out and forget about it... but being in the walk-in clinic with shorts on the nurse seemed to clash the scratch as a major gash....

Are they those things that swell up ???
The nurse stuck some magic dressing on ... and this did seem to make the thing heal up faster... but then she cleaned it way more thoroughly and delicately than I'd have bothered as well. I usually just use a brush off some sort and soap ... and since I don't have much feeling I just scrub out the dirt/oil and bits of grit.
