More through intrigue than anything else I decided on a Lefty for a recent build.
It was bit of a punt but several people I had chatted with that used them spoke highly of them.
Well I have had the opportunity to ride the bike with Lefty fitted (a 90mm PBR model) albeit not extensively.
I was a little skeptical in the car park test but ooot and aboot it was a hoot!
Its strange .... I was a lot less aware of the fork working than I usually am with my other forks. This I may add is a good thing.
Whilst aesthetically they may be like marmite there is no denying they are stiff but if honest a bit "look at me".
So there.
What a revelation. Man rides new fork and thinks its the best since his last new fork ๐ณ

I thought you'd been sawing your Rock Shox in half ๐
New stuff is always good.
Even when it's broken Luke?
:O)
I thought you'd discovered the free money tree... ๐

Well, there was the thrill of opening the box and building it up ๐
My current brand new Ti frame arrived built wrong so I had to file the brake cailper a bit to get it to fit. Why buy perfect when you can cause yourself heartache with a bragain ๐
Good call Luke. Bargains with bodges.
Another Lefty lover here. One thing I noticed on mine when first starting to ride it was brake dive. I guess under heavy braking conventional forks bind on their bushes, but with the Lefty having roller bearings with no firictional bushing I did notice brake dive. Used to it now so not an issue and good to know that the suspension is working as effectively under braking and bending load.
I will be picking up my new full suss bike this week with RockShox Revelations so will be interesting to see how a conventional fork rides again afer a few years on the Lefty.
