Mechanic: 'sure, is there anything specific you want us to look at?'
C: 'the whole lot really, I washed it in the sea a couple of weeks ago and now it's making funny noises.'

I've just flushed a frame and fork through with chemicals and rebuilt a bike that was waded through the sea by someone that got a bit lost and had no choice of route due to the tide!
After a few weeks the rims,eyelets and spoke nipples have died. New wheels too :O/
in a bike shop somewhere earlier today...

Bloody typical of bike shops isnt it.....you take the bike in for a new chain after 20,000 miles and they tell you that you need a whole new drive train.
