With a potential 1,034Wh of battery there's plenty of power for playing. Also, new 160mm travel LC2R rear suspension layout.

Looks like it's 2015 and someone drew what the 'evolution of eMtb' would look like in 2025

An ex colleague has an older one, not sure on the vintage but it has 27.5 wheels.

It’s pretty rapid and rides surprisingly well switched off, which was handy when it glitched out on a ride.

I vaguely remember the Dyname system has a standard bottom bracket with the chain driven by a separate sprocket.

This seems better to me from a longevity point of view.

Absolutely this. BBs are a consumable item. Motor driver units should not be.

I'd prefer the ebike motor to be robust enough to last many thousands of miles before bearings needed replacement rather than to have a disposable BB tacked on the side.  Like the Pinion gearbox dream of 10k oil changes and little else

Nah, not even close. Think it's the weird bend in the rear triangle that spoils this and it might look okay from other angles? Otherwise it shares much of the usual e-bike challenging aesthetics.

Doesn't seem stupidly priced so they'll no doubt shift a few. I assume their financial woes are sorted?

How does the assist part work separately from the drive? What if you backpedal?

theoretical as it is laughably ugly

Lovely paint job.

I like the separate BB and motor principle.

But, my word that is a challenging looking thing.

And I ride an Orange Stage Evo...in biege!

I was just a little bit sick in my mouth.  That is remarkably hideous even by ebike standards

Interesting case study on different tastes is this one as most people think this is hideous going by the comments but it looks like generic bike fodder to me? The Cotic is hideous in my opinion but others will defend it (without saying it's good looking).

I'm yet to see an ebike that makes me go 'wow' but I like the recent Orange offerings as well as the Atherton's. Different strokes and all that.
